EYP Public Speaking Competition hosted 16 outstanding young public speakers

1960766_880104332018937_8575253640871102072_oEYP Public Speaking Competition took place July 18-19 in Yerevan,Armenia.

After a tough selection process 16 very fine speakers have been chosen to participate in the workshop on public speaking skills delivered by the expert from Sweden, Gabriel Bake and furthermore presented their speeches on July 19th.

We are happy to announce that the People’s Choice Award was given to Gevorg Adamyan with his speech “Mathematical Approach to Belief”.

10498148_880104275352276_6395772003889428704_oBased on the assessment of Jury from Sweden, Italy and Armenia 3rd place was shared by Gevorg Adamyan and Ani Baghumyan with her speech on “Success: hard work or talent?”; 2nd place was given to Marie Sargsyan for her speech entitled “Unborn daughters of Armenia”.

EYP Armenia Alumnus Anatoli Chernyaev participated in Youth Peace Camp 2014 in Strasbourg

tolik7Youth Peace Camp was organized by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe at the European Centre in Strasbourg, France from 15 to 23 June, 2014.

In the past ten years the peace camp project brought together young people (of ages 18-25) from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia (including Abkhazia and South Ossetia), Israel, Kosovo, the Palestinian Authority, the Russian Federation and Serbia.

EYP Armenia Alumnus Tigran Sukiasyan participated in International HSE Summer School 2014 in Moscow

From June 30 to July 7 EYP Armenia Alumnus Tigran Sukiasyan participated in International HSE Summer School 2014 in Moscow.
The title of the Summer School was “The role of informality in transition socio-economic environments” organized by the National Research University – Higher School of Economics, Moscow, in cooperation with the Free University of Berlin.

EYP Armenia Alumnus Hrant Charchyan represented Armenia at the International Youth Millenium Camp in Finland

hrant8The Millennium Youth Camp is a fun science camp for young people between years 16 -19 interested in natural sciences, mathematics and technology. The week-long camp takes place in Finland every June.

Its main organizers are Technology AcademyFinland, LUMA Centre at the University of Helsinki and AaltoUniversity.

EYP Armenia Alumnus Tatev Derzyan delivering a speech at UN Headquarters in New York

On June 25-June 29 EYP Armenia Alumnus Tatev Derzyan represented Armenia in “Many languages One world” global youth forum, New York. It was organized by ELS educational services and United Nations Academic Impact.

We have talked with Tatev about her New York impressions and EYP impact.

 EYP is my 1st step to the new world

tatev1Actually I didn’t have any EYP experience when I decided to participate in this contest. I have only applied for IEFA (Committee on Human rights), because I wanted to share ideas over Genocide with youngsters all over the world. EYP experience helped me in NYC to get in touch with new people, to express my opinion openly and defend it.

IEFA was my 1st international experience, 1st forum and all IEFA events helped me in NYC. EYP is my 1st step to the new world.
