EYP AmAr 2013 Ambassadors of Armenia

EYP Ambassadors of Armenia (EYP AmAr 2013) is a Simulation Conference organized by European Youth Parliament – Armenia in cooperation with Ministry of Economy (Tourism Department) on August 17. Each working group comprised of 3 participants who represented the tourism potential of the assigned region to the potentials investors. The main projects generated were: Wine University from Vayots Dzor, ExpLORI ecotourism project from Lori, Middle Ages Revival Village from Tavush, potential of hosting Olympic games from Kotayk, eco-cultural brand new products from Syunik, Old City project from Shirak, Development project of the Sevan Lake surroundings from Gegharkunik. Based on the potential investors’ vote Gegharkunik was recognized the region with the highest tourism potential, whereas people’s choice award was given to the team of Vayots Dzor, the nomination of the “Most Creative Booklet” was won by the working group of Kotayk Province.

All the projects are currently considered by the Ministry of Economy of Republic of Armenia for the possible implementation in the near future. The team representing Gegharkunik furthermore spent 2-3 days in the respective region to conduct a closer and more comprehensive research in the area.

The EYP AmAr Project was recognized best youth project targeted at tourism development in Armenia by the Ministry of Economy and received an Award, and Certificate of Achievement.
