The craziest Armenian delegation in Estonia

The happiest and most enthusiastic Armenian delegation participated in IV University Forum of EYP Estonia which took place from 7-11 April in Tallinn. Armenian delegation consisted of seven delegates – Nune Hayrapetyan, Mariam Grigoryan, Martun Kirakosian, Maga Amirkhanyan, Diana Partizpanyan, Nelly Harutyunyan, Vahe Shelunts, and one Chairperson – Ripa Hovsepyan. According to our delegation, the forum was one of the best forums they have ever participated in and they enjoyed every second of it. The forum was very well-organised and all delegates were strong and well-prepared. Below you can read an interview with some members of the Armenian delegation.

How was the forum ? (Delegates, topics, officials)

The forum was just superb! Everything was organized very well. The whole community of the forum (delegates, chairs, officials) was just amazing. Everyone was responsible and committed to making the greatest contribution to the success of the forum.

The forum was really amazing!! This was my first international forum and I’m really impressed.  My committee was the best for me. And as there were no Armenians in my committee, my international experience was a really INTERNATIONAL one.

Nelly H.

It was fun and meaningful! Delegates were awesome, topics were interesting (would be happy to see the same problems being discussed in/for Armenia), officials were cool (would love to become an official one day).

In one word I can just say cool! Despite the fact that the topic was quite difficult and not acquainted to me I studied a lot and now can freely answer any question concerning the topic of freelancers.  Delegates were fantastic as I met many new friends and share my thoughts with them and they shared their with me. Officials did a great job especially chair of my committee and the president of forum.

What did this event give you and how will it help you in the future ?

This event gave me new amazing friends from very different countries, EYP experience (which cannot be compared to any other thing), heart-warming memories and new understanding about different topics and problems.

Nelly H.

Connections, friends, new skills, prospective partners, EYP family, memories, experience, motivation – it will help me to develop more connections for the similar forum ideas and, who knows, one day this might become real for Armenia’s development (crossing fingers).

Nune H.

First of all, it gave me lifelong memories and breathtaking experience. I will remember those days for a long time. Secondly, it enriched my circle of friends with so many cool and enthusiastic people. Thirdly, I really improved my communication and public speaking skills as well as expanded my knowledge in different areas.

Vahe Sh.

The forum gave me a great opportunity to gain knowledge, meet new friends and develop ideas. Many of the ideas, that we found, can improve the situation concerning freelancers in Armenia.  Also I met a lot of new friends and some individuals if not now probably will play a major role in my life.

Martun K.

You were a big delegation(8 people). Did anything funny happen with the Armenian delegation ?

One of the most memorable parts of our travel for me was dancing Tsakhkadzori dance at the Warsaw airport. Everyone was watching at us, and smiling and I liked that we could make some people happy and gave positive energy. And during our dance an old man was passing by and he stopped for a second trying to copy our moves and it was really funny.

Nelly H.

Our commiteeOne of the members of our delegation packed two suitcases of clothes with her to Tallinn (filled to the full) and took
one as hand luggage (it was about 9kg). She said that she did not know which ones match with others (blouse and trousers, for example) and would “classify” them in Tallin. Can you imagine that, 2 suitcases of clothes/shoes just for a week?
As the suitcase was quite heavy, me and another guy from our delegation did not let her hold it and carried it all the way from Tbilisi to Tallinn (with a layover in Warsaw!). So, cool adventures were awaiting for us all the way to Tallin.

Vahe Sh.

Everything was funny. For example, some girls of our group were discussing a man who was going to work in the airport as he had a good appearance. The funniest thing is that everybody was silent in the bus while we laughed and talked a lot.

Martun K.

What is the first word that comes to your mind when remembering the forum and why?

Tallin, because the forum was in Tallin.

Martun K.

Youth – the power is in future leaders!

Nune H.

KOKA COLA. I think EYPers will understand why.

Nelly H.

As soon as I read this question and recalled the forum again, the first word that came to my mind is FAMILY. In these 5 days, we became so close and friendly to each other, like a real FAMILY. And EYP is definitely a huge and inspiring FAMILY.

What is EYP Armenia for you ? How do you imagine your future engagment with it ?13000074_801623783306146_3595946213153187065_n

EYP Armenia is an undiscovered world which I am eager to discover.

I wish I had started getting engaged in EYP activities much earlier. I have many friends from EYP Armenia and already know what a cool community it is. I am really looking forward to participating in future EYP Armenia forums/sessions and becoming an active part of it. Also, I am going to apply for an EYP membership (the deadline to which I unfortunately missed last year).

Vahe Sh.

EYP became a new family for me, where you can have problems, conflicts, debates but still will find solutions and will miss them when you go away.  I am sure my EYP experience will continue and I hope to meet my favorite-crazy-12805870_1153031971396840_3365431725054697959_namazing friends somewhere in Europe.

Nelly H.

EYP is a great opportunity to generate and share, dream more, involve and be involved for future developments and greater result.

Nune H.

EYP of Armenia is a group of youth enthusiasts who try hard to make our society better and developed. Also it is a chance to get acquainted with people. In future, I will try to continue my engagement in EYP and become a chairperson or an official during forums.

Martun K.

The forum has already ended but the enthusiasm of the delegates is still on its top. Whenever asking them something about the forum they smile and share funny stories with you. EYP Armenia team wishes them all a great success and new achievements in the future. Keep the spirit!
